All January Bills Are Paid

Hello everyone! All my January bills have been paid. I am thrilled that I have $70 left and I have already applied it to my credit card! This was an unexpected event and I can't tell you how happy I am.

Here at home we are beginning to thaw out. We are going to get above freezing today so I will probably venture out to pick up a few necessities after lunch. I have $80 in cash left that I will use to make my purchases. I hope I can include a few groceries in this trip but we will see. My plan for today is to make a menu. Have a good day everyone!

    Having an extra $70. to pay down that CC is terrific. If you can hold back anything from that remaining $ 80. it could be added to the next payment. Great idea to make up a menu plan for the week. Your store flyers are usually available on-line as are coupons if useful...what's the 'loss leader'? I found it helpful to have the store subtotal non food items like paper goods, hardware,soap and cleaning supplies. It was shocking how much that adds to spending. Those items adda lot of profit to grocery chains bottom line. It can be cost effective to stock up on non-edibles when they're on sale at alternate outlets like drugs store, hardware or even Dollar Store for the more disposable stuff or branded products.

    Glad you're thawing out, it's snowed non stop here and ridiculously cold, we're fed-up!
