Class ring decision

February 11th, 2014 at 02:32 am

Good evening everyone,
I have discussed the class ring issue with my daughter. I have agreed to pay the $50 deposit and she will pay the remaing balance in May. I am happy with this decision.

We have another day off from school tomorrow due to expected ice and snow. This is very unusual for us. I live in the south and I can't ever remember missing this much school. So tomorrow should be a no spend day!

I think my girls and I will organize our cabinets and freezer and see if we can plan meals so we won't have to purchase groceries next week and that money can go to debt. Got to make the most of all the days I get off. I hope you all have a great evening.

That sounds like a great plan for the ring AND your meal planning. Fingers crossed you have lots of great things in your cupboards and fridge. Smile

Great to get DDs involved in organizing pantry, fridge and freezer to plan meals based on items at hand. Would they be willing to write out a list of their favourite meals to be created in the future? Experience has taught that the stress drops if I know in advance what's to be made for dinner before I walk through the door.

By checking 'loss leaders' in grocery ads from flyers or on-line and reviewing what's at hand, you can quickly make up a flexible menu plan. That easily results in a shopping list for any items needed to complete the plan. The unexpected benefit from shopping with a list was how much it reduced the cost. It doesn't mean you can't buy something extra/on sale/special treat but it keeps you from buying yet another pkg of ______ not certain if you already have it.

PS It's minus 25C [[-13F] here, skin can freeze in two minutes
